The following information may be helpful when determining the number of therapists and length of your corporate event.
The number of clients served by each therapist must include consideration of the length of each massage and the necessary
time between massages.
Chair Massage:
The therapist must have 5 minutes between each session to transition from one client to the next. Both the chair
and the therapist's hands are sanitized between clients. Chair massage is performed with clients fully clothed. Therefore,
if 10 minute massage sessions are scheduled, the therapist can serve four clients per hour. 15 minute sessions allow
for three clients per hour. Note: If the event is running very smoothly (usually because of excellent planning
and organization by the corporate client), the transition between clients may be shorter, allowing each massage session to
be extended a few minutes.
High Volume Chair Massage:
To serve a high volume of people in a limited amount of time(e.g. health fairs), sessions may be planned at an accelerated
rate of 6 clients per hour. The therapist will provide 7 minute sessions with 3 minutes transition time between sessions.
Additional Considerations
Therapist Needs:
For each 2 1/2 hours of an event, the schedule should allow each therapist a 15 minute break.
Refreshments are not expected, but may be provided to the therapist.
Scheduling Sessions:
Experience has proven that a successful event occurs when the corporate client allows employees to sign up for the massage
sessions prior to the event. This prevents lost time between sessions or employees waiting in line for a massage. 10
minute sessions are edeally scheduled on the quarter hour: 12:00-12:10 12:15-12:25 12:30-12:40 12:45-12:55 15
minute sessions are ideally scheduled on the one third hour: 12:00-12:15 12:20-12:35 12:40-12:55
